How live time is counted

• Live time runs while Meeting Ears is listening to a meeting. It is billed per started minute, and after each meeting the app shows what it used.
• When you have time from more than one purchase, the time that expires soonest is used first.
• A monthly plan’s hours are for that month: unused hours do not roll over. Yearly plans get the same hours each month.
• A pass expires 14 or 30 days after you buy it, whether its hours are used or not.

The AI allowance, in plain words

Writing answers costs us money for every word the AI reads and writes, so each plan includes a monthly amount of AI work, counted in tokens (pieces of words). Answers, prep briefs, translations and “Regenerate context” use it; the live transcript does not.

• An answer with a typical context uses about 8,000 tokens, so 1 million tokens is roughly 120 answers. A long context makes each answer use more.
• The allowance is set so that a normal user does not meet it: about 400,000 tokens for every hour of live time in the plan, while a busy hour of answers uses about 320,000.
• It renews on the first day of each month (UTC). Settings → Account shows how much is used, and the app warns you at 80% and 95%.
• Answers made on your own Gemini key do not count toward it.
• If you hold a pass and a plan in the same month, their allowances add up.

Your own Gemini key

On Pro, Max and the Founders licence you can add your own Google Gemini API key. Meetings that run on your key are billed to you by Google, not by us, and do not use your live time or AI allowance.

• Pro: your key is used once the month’s 12 hours are used up, so meetings keep going.
• Max and Founders: you can use your key any time.
• Fair use: up to 200 hours a month on your own key.
• The passes and the free trial do not include an own key.

How to get and add a key

Fair use

To keep the service fast for everyone, every plan, including meetings on your own key, has a daily limit of 6 hours of live time and 400 answers and prep briefs per day (UTC). These limits are far above normal use.

Referrals

Every account has a referral code (Settings → Account → Referrals). When a friend adds your code and then buys, you both get extra live time.

• Your friend adds the code within 7 days of creating their account, before their first purchase. Your own code does not count.
• Only their first paid purchase counts; the free trial and the Founders licence earn no referral time.
• Your friend’s extra time comes with their purchase. Yours arrives 14 days later, and is cancelled if the purchase is refunded.
• Referral time is valid for 90 days. You can earn up to 10 hours from at most 5 referrals a month.

Why a pass for one interview, not a subscription

• You pay once and nothing renews: no subscription to remember to cancel after you get the job.
• Two hours covers one or two interviews with time to test your setup first; six hours covers a few weeks of rounds.
• The hours are yours for the whole validity, over as many meetings as you like.
• If you start having meetings every week, Pro gives you more hours for the money and keeps going on your own key.

Is VAT included?

No. Prices exclude VAT; where VAT applies it is added at checkout.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of buying. See the refund policy.

How do I cancel a monthly plan?

Once payments open, you will be able to cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. See Account and billing.

Who handles payments?

During early access, the Founders licence is paid by bank transfer; card payments come later. We never see or store your card number.
